L. Barry Davidson Architects AIA, Incorporated, a Houston based residential architecture firm under the leadership of Leslie Barry Davidson, AIA for over 30 years, succeeds in developing homes that respond to the personalities of their clients and satisfy their specific needs. Their custom designs reflect the 'concept' of the house from the windows to the roof, from the tile to the appliances, from the structure to the low voltage technology. The architectural style becomes the 'thread' on which every design decision hangs, creating houses that are timeless and unique.
From a young age, Leslie has been passionate about historical architecture, and has developed that passion through education and experience. Her educational credentials include: B.A. in Art and Architectural History from Mt. Holyoke College, B.S. in Architecture and Masters of Architectural Design and Historic Preservation from the University of Illinois. Her experience includes both commercial and residential architecture. Her residential work, which is the focus of the practice now, specializes in both new construction and renovations/additions.
Her passion for architecture and her pursuit of excellence make Leslie Barry Davidson a premier architect in the Houston area. Her success is also reflected in the many awards received and by the numerous publications in which her work is featured. Leslie is at ease with new construction or remodeling and with all architectural styles from authentic historically inspired homes to modern contemporary architecture. Her firm enjoys both large and small projects.
We design all of our residences within a 'green' framework. In addition to longevity and durability, our houses aspire to comprehensive sustainability. We are qualified to apply for LEEDS (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification for any homeowner who desires to make this decisive step toward reducing our carbon footprint.
